- Completion of required RA training (TCPS2 ethics training if not completed already, trauma informed and culturally safe interview and focus group training)
- Assist with ethics application preparation.
- Conduct in-depth qualitative interviews using trauma-informed, culturally secure practices.
- Assist with conducting focus groups using trauma-informed, culturally safe practices.
- Transcribe qualitative and focus group interviews.
- Design surveys and administer them.
- Assist with the literature review.
- Assist with data analysis.
- Communicate with PI, Co-Investigators on a regular basis.
- Travel to research sites in Regina, Saskatoon, and Moose Jaw as required

Position Requirements Qualifications:

- Preferred candidate should be enrolled in a certificate or degree in social science (e.g., gender studies, psychology, sociology, justice studies, or social work).
- Advanced writing skills
- Experience conducting qualitative interviews and/or focus groups will be given preference.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness when working with diverse populations is an asset.
- Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or newcomer communities is an asset.
- Ability to observe confidentiality and anonymity
- Active listening & emotional intelligence
- Time management
