Platinum Security Guards Inc. is hiring a Security Guard / Concierge for a high-end, high-rise residential condominium located near Sheppard Avenue East and Don Mills Road in North York.

This is a busy residential property with more than 500 units. We are looking for a professional, well-mannered and dependable individual who can represent both the condominium and our company appropriately at the front desk.

Extensive condominium experience is not essential. We are prepared to train the right candidate. However, professionalism, communication skills, personal presentation, attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures are essential.

- Adaptable with your availability, including weekdays, weekends and different shifts

PROFESSIONAL UNIFORM STANDARD This is a high-end residential condominium. The required site uniform is formal and consists of:

- Blazer
- Dress shirt and tie
- Waistcoat
- Dress pants
- Dress shoes

Candidates must be comfortable maintaining this professional uniform and grooming standard throughout their shift.

DUTIES INCLUDE

- Front desk security and concierge duties
- Resident, visitor and contractor access control
- Parcel and delivery management
- Parking administration and enforcement of parking procedures
- CCTV monitoring
- Regular building patrols
- Maintaining daily security logs




- Preparing Daily Occurrence Reports and Incident Reports
- Using computers and site security/reporting systems
- Responding professionally to residents' questions and concerns
- Following emergency procedures
- Understanding the basic operation of the building fire alarm system after training
- Making emergency/fire announcements when required
- Following post orders and management instructions precisely

REQUIREMENTS

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to prepare clear written reports
- Ability to commute reliably to the Sheppard & Don Mills area of North York
- Flexible availability
- Professional appearance and grooming
- Good interpersonal and customer-service skills

Residential condominium or concierge experience is an asset, but we will consider candidates without extensive condominium experience if they demonstrate the right attitude, communication skills, professionalism and willingness to learn. IMPORTANT – BEFORE APPLYING
