Chances Grill PR is hiring Part-Time Restaurant Server to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC.

Working at Chances Grill is anything but ordinary. Located inside the casino, our restaurant brings people together for good food, sports, entertainment, and great company. From UFC nights and hockey tournaments to customer promotions and activities, there’s always something happening.

Our regular customers are a big part of what makes working here special. You’ll have the opportunity to get to know guests, build relationships, and become a familiar face they look forward to seeing.

And then there’s the view. Chances Grill offers one of the best views in Prince Rupert, with beautiful sunsets you can enjoy from inside the restaurant or out on our deck.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, brings positive energy to their work, and can stay focused when things get busy. Weekends are often among our busiest shifts and can be some of the strongest tip-earning opportunities for our servers.

The Part-Time Restaurant Server position offers approximately 20–30 hours per week. The wage is $18.25 per hour, plus tips. Scheduling is flexible, with availability for a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

Duties

- Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive table service.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Communicate food and beverage orders clearly with the kitchen and bar teams.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to requests or concerns.
- Process payments and complete transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables and service areas.
- Follow food safety,



sanitation, and responsible service procedures.
- Communicate with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to support smooth service.
- Stay organized and prioritize guest needs during busy periods.
- Participate in restaurant promotions, events, and special activities as required.
- Complete opening, closing, and other assigned side duties.

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to accurately enter orders, process payments, and use a POS system such as Micros or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail when taking orders, handling payments, and delivering food and beverages.
- Ability to prioritize multiple guest requests and maintain accurate service during busy periods.
- Comfortable working in a casino environment with dim lighting, loud music, and a busy dining room.
- Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices is an asset.
- Reliable and dependable, with the ability to arrive on time and complete assigned duties.
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to complete a criminal record and credit check through the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO).

Education

- No formal education is required.
- A valid Serving It Right certification is required. Previous food service or hospitality experience is preferred.
