Retail Manager — Seasonal Christmas Markets

Mighty Pines Cocktail Co. (non-alcoholic cocktail mixers) is looking for an energetic, outgoing Retail Manager to lead our Christmas Market sales team in Calgary (area). If you love talking to people, genuinely enjoy sales, and get excited about sharing products you believe in, you’ll fit right in with our team.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced seasonal role. You’ll be on your feet for long periods and working hard, but you’ll also be part of a fun team with the opportunity to earn daily sales bonuses in addition to your hourly wage.

What You’ll Do

- Represent Mighty Pines with enthusiasm and provide a welcoming, positive customer experience.
- Pour samples and engage customers in conversations about our products.
- Sell Mighty Pines cocktail mixers and confidently explain how they can be enjoyed with or without spirits.
- Provide customers with recommendations and inspiration for mixing great drinks.
- Process payments, bag products, and keep the sales experience moving efficiently during busy periods.
- Replenish shelves and ensure the booth is well stocked and looking its best.
- Manage the cash box and daily money float.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate restocking as needed.
- Open and prepare the market space each morning.
- Close and secure the space at the end of each day according to market guidelines.
- Support, guide, and coordinate the Retail Assistant.
- Communicate effectively with the Mighty Pines owner regarding sales, inventory, customer needs, and market operations.

- Can stay positive and focused in a very busy environment.
- Is organized, reliable, and able to take responsibility for a retail space.
- Enjoys working as part of a small, energetic team.
- Can confidently learn and communicate product information.
- Is comfortable standing and working for extended periods.
- Has retail, sales, market, food/beverage, or customer-service experience—an asset, but not necessarily required.

Requirements

- Transportation —reliable transportation to and from each market is required. You must either have a valid driver’s licence and your own access to a vehicle, or have reliable transportation arranged with someone who can drive you to and from the event.
- Must be 19+

Compensation $20/hour + daily sales bonuses

This is a contracted, seasonal position. You do not need to be available for every market date, although the ability to cover most dates is ideal.

Calgary / Alberta

- Millarville Christmas Market (Millarville, Alberta) — November 4–8, Nov 12-15 (Thurs-Sun, 9am to 4pm)
- Spruce Meadows Christmas Market (SW Calgary, Alberta) — November 13-16, 20-22, 27-29, Dec 4-7 (Fri 11am-8pm, Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 10am-6pm)
