We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team! The role is for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and every other Thursday.

In this role, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service while promoting our products and services. The Sales Associate role does include working with our grooming team in scheduling.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs.
- Explain product features to help customers make informed decisions.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Keep track of inventory levels, add stock to the system, accepting deliveries from distributors (checking the delivery was accurate) restock shelves as needed,



and assist with stock organization.
- Continually review expiry dates to ensure that no expired product is being sold.
- Answer the phone professionally.
- Schedule grooming and facilitate a happy environment for our pet clients.
- Maintain a clean workplace, including end of day cleaning procedures.

Skills

- Previous experience in retail sales is required, though thorough training will be provided.
- You MUST have a dog or cat.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging with customers.
- Demonstrated technical sales experience, including conducting product demos and explaining features clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage time efficiently in a busy retail setting.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
- Knowledge of merchandising, POS systems, cashiering procedures, and customer service best practices is a plus.

The Plaza has free parking, and we offer staff discounts and select products free to employees. Pay: From $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
