We are currently looking for a Full-Time Security Guard to join our team at our Belle River location.

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY The successful candidate must be able to commit to the assigned schedule, including:

12-hour shifts- 3 shifts Continental

Weekdays and weekends

Days, afternoons/evenings, and overnight shifts

Must be available to fill open shifts when required

Must be available for holiday coverage

Flexibility and reliability are essential

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct occasional foot patrols of the property.

Protect company property, employees, and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Take accurate notes and document unusual occurrences or incidents.

Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.

Monitor alarm systems and video surveillance cameras.

Operate security, detecting, and emergency equipment.

Maintain access control for the facility and surrounding areas.

Log in and authorize access for trucks and trailers.

Demonstrate sound judgment, common sense, and strong decision-making skills, particularly during emergencies or incidents requiring direction of others.

Enter employee information into the card access system.

Create and issue access cards as required.

Keep the Site Supervisor and Operations Manager informed of operational or security concerns.





Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and records.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Work experience as a Security Guard or in a related position is an asset.

Security Guard training and a diploma or education in a related field is an asset.

Ability to operate security, surveillance, detecting, and emergency equipment.

Strong knowledge of public safety and security procedures and protocols.

Excellent observation and surveillance skills.

Solid attention to detail.

Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.

Ability to use computers, radios, phones, and security/access-control systems.

Excellent record-keeping and report-writing skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, reliability, and good judgment.

Ability to work independently and take responsibility when required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, alert, and safety-focused, with the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the Hunter Express team.

Pay: $18.15/hour

Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Days, afternoons/evenings & overnights | Weekdays & weekends
