We are seeking a part-time Semi-Independent Living (SIL) Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, available to work days, evenings, and every second weekend (some split shifts required), and preferably located within 15 minutes of the Leduc area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support adults with developmental disabilities in maintaining their independence
- Assist with daily living skills such as apartment maintenance, budgeting (basic math skills required), meal preparation, and cooking
- Help arrange transportation and support participation in community and social outings
- Encourage skill-building, independence, and community inclusion
Qualifications:
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is an asset (training provided for the right candidate)
- Keen attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have:
- Current Criminal Record Check
- Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract
- Reliable vehicle
- Current CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Two work-related references
