Are you a professionally curious CPA who wants to apply your accounting and tax knowledge to broader strategic initiatives that drive business growth? KMK Capital is seeking an analytical and motivated professional to join us as Senior Analyst, Tax & Corporate Development. Reporting to and working alongside the Director, Tax & Corporate Development, you will gain broad exposure to real estate development, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and Canadian and U.S. tax matters across a diverse group of companies.

You will work closely with senior leadership on projects that influence the future direction of the organization while continuing to build your technical expertise and commercial understanding.

Location: St. John's, NL | Position: Full time, on-site at our corporate office

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Tax Research & Compliance

- Assist with the preparation and completion of Canadian tax compliance filings and related work.
- Conduct research on Canadian and U.S. tax matters.
- Perform ad hoc tax analysis to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
- Gather information for, and work with, external U.S. tax accountants on the preparation and review of U.S. tax returns.

Corporate Restructuring & Strategic Projects

- Support corporate restructuring initiatives and business transactions.
- Organize and compile data and documentation for internal and external legal counsel.
- Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives across the organization.

WHAT YOU BRING

Qualifications

- CPA designation.




- Minimum three years of post-university professional experience, preferably in tax compliance and research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and analysis.
- Experience with, and proficiency in, using AI tools to support research, analysis, and productivity.
- Experience working with multi-entity corporate structures, corporate transactions, or restructuring initiatives is considered an asset.
