Senior IT Systems & Integration Developer

Kanata, Ottawa | Full-time, permanent | On-site Monday to Friday | $65-$70 per hour | 40 hours/week

AutoShack is a Canadian aftermarket auto parts retailer and e-commerce company. We are looking for an experienced developer to work within our IT department on system integrations, automation, business applications and practical AI projects.

This is a broad IT development role. Azure experience is an asset, but this is not an Azure-only position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Build and maintain integrations between ERP, e-commerce, PIM, marketplace and internal business systems.

· Develop REST APIs, webhooks, data connections and backend services using C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, Java or similar technologies.

· Build workflow automation and practical AI integrations where they improve business processes.

· Work with SQL databases, cloud services, data flows, troubleshooting, monitoring and production support.

· Take projects from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment and support.

· Work with IT and business teams to resolve system and process issues.

· Perform other development, integration, automation, systems and IT-related duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related technical field.

· 5+ years of professional software development experience.

· Strong REST API and systems-integration experience, including authentication, webhooks and secure data exchange.

· Strong backend development experience in C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, Java or a comparable language.





· Strong SQL and database experience.

· Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

· Git/source-control and contemporary development practices.

· Ability to independently take projects from requirements through implementation and production support.

· Excellent written and verbal English.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

· Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, Service Bus, App Service or Azure DevOps.

· NetSuite or other ERP integrations; Pimberly or another PIM platform.

· OpenAI/ChatGPT APIs, Azure OpenAI or other production AI integrations.

· Power Automate, Zapier, Make.com or similar automation tools.

· Amazon, eBay, Walmart or other marketplace APIs.

· Salesforce Commerce Cloud or other high-volume e-commerce platforms.

· CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and production support.

TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical technical assessment covering REST APIs, SQL, clean code, coding/debugging and integration problem-solving. Azure knowledge is an advantage but is not required to pass.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Must be able to work on-site in Kanata Monday to Friday. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Artificial intelligence may be used as part of the application screening and assessment process. Final hiring decisions are made by AutoShack.

Pay: $65.00-$70.00 per hour
