- Manage FTL and LTL shipments throughout Canada and the United States, including cross-border transportation.
- Source, qualify and develop relationships with reliable carriers and transportation partners.
- Negotiate carrier rates and secure capacity while maintaining competitive margins.
- Provide competitive freight rates and transportation solutions to customers and the sales team.
- Post and cover loads using Loadlink, DAT and other load boards/carrier networks.
- Dispatch carriers and provide complete pickup and delivery instructions.
- Track and trace shipments from pickup through final delivery.
- Monitor pickup and delivery appointments and proactively address potential delays.
- Communicate directly with shippers, consignees, customers, drivers and carriers.
- Manage cross-border shipments and ensure required transportation and customs documentation is in place.
- Coordinate dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck and other specialized equipment when required.
- Handle urgent,

time-sensitive and last-minute transportation requirements.
- Resolve service failures, missed appointments, delays, damages, accessorial charges and other operational issues.
- Review and negotiate detention, layover, TONU, waiting time and other carrier charges.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and documentation within the TMS.
- Review carrier invoices and ensure agreed rates and additional charges are accurate.
- Ensure customers are billed accurately for freight and applicable accessorial charges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and carriers.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, service levels and carrier performance.
- Support inside sales and identify opportunities to expand business with existing customers.
- Assist and mentor junior Logistics Coordinators when required.
- Perform additional operational and logistics duties as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Canada/U.S. cross-border transportation.
- Proven experience sourcing carriers and negotiating freight rates.
- Experience using Loadlink, DAT or similar freight/load boards.
- Strong understanding of freight rates, mileage, transit times and transportation geography across Canada and the U.S.
- Knowledge of trucking equipment including dry vans, reefers, flatbeds and step decks.
- Understanding of carrier compliance, Hours of Service and applicable transportation regulations.

- Experience with shipment tracking, appointment scheduling, PODs, BOLs and transportation documentation.
- Strong understanding of accessorial charges including detention, layover, TONU and waiting time.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate professionally with carriers and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active shipments simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with rates, documentation and billing.
- Proficiency with TMS systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Gmail.

Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with Canadian and U.S. carriers.
- Experience developing new lanes and building carrier capacity.
- Experience with inside sales or account management.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can independently take ownership of a shipment:
