Every day, more than 40,000 trucks, excavators and service vehicles across Canada, the US and Mexico stream their location, engine data and AI dashcam video into PosiTrace. Fleet managers rely on it to spot risky driving, find idle equipment and keep costs down. Our Ruby on Rails and Angular platform powers all of it, and we're looking for a senior Rails engineer to help make it faster and smarter as we grow.

You'll join a small, senior team where your work goes straight to customers, and we'll help you relocate to Vancouver if needed.

What you'll work on

- Build and own features end to end on our modern Rails and Angular platform, from API to UI to production.
- Modernize the product.
- Make it fast for customers running thousands of vehicles.
- Build integrations with new telematics solutions, AI cameras and device types.
- Extend the billing and subscription logic in our back-office system.
- Write RSpec tests, review code, and ship through our CI/CD pipelines.

What you bring

- 5+ years building production software, with strong hands-on Ruby on Rails experience.
- Strong SQL and MySQL skills,



including query tuning on large datasets.
- Experience with Angular and TypeScript, or a similar up-to-date framework and the appetite to go deep in Angular.
- Solid testing habits.
- Comfort working in a large, long-lived codebase and improving it safely.
- Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to relocate to Vancouver.

Nice to have: Redis, RabbitMQ, WebSockets, Grape APIs, Kubernetes and GCP, maps and geospatial data, telematics or IoT.
