Sara is looking for a reliable, energetic Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team. This role is an integral part of the guest experience, working closely with Servers and the management team to ensure smooth, efficient service throughout the evening.

The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You take pride in anticipating what the team and our guests need and understand that great service is a team effort.

About the Role The Server Assistant plays an important role in keeping service running smoothly. You’ll work alongside the Server team to maintain the dining room, support table service, and ensure guests receive attentive and efficient service from the moment they are seated through the end of their experience.

Compensation & Schedule

- $25.00 per hour
- Staff meal provided each shift
- This position is not included in the tip pool
- Approximately 4-5 hours per shift
- 3-4 shifts per week
- Availability required Wednesday through Sunday, including evenings and weekends

Key Responsibilities

- Support Servers throughout service to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Assist with setting, clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- Maintain proper table settings and ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked




- Deliver water and assist with food and beverage service as required
- Explicit plates, glassware, and cutlery efficiently and discreetly throughout service
- Monitor tables and anticipate guest and Server needs
- Assist with polishing and organizing glassware, cutlery, and service equipment
- Restock service stations and supplies before, during, and after service
- Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, kitchen staff, and management
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized dining room
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, and restaurant policies and procedures
- Perform other service-related duties as required

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or guest-service environment is preferred
- Experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant environment is an asset
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate needs and work proactively without constant direction
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professional, positive, and guest-focused approach
- Ability to remain organized and composed during busy service periods
- Ability to stand and move for the duration of the shift and safely carry trays, plates, and service items
- Availability to work 3–4 shifts per week from Wednesday through Sunday
- Valid Smart Serve certification is an asset
