Full-Time In office Maintenance & Facilities Technician SESS Holdings Inc. – Ontario
SESS Holdings Inc. is seeking a dependable, experienced and highly hands-on Full-Time On-Site Maintenance & Facilities Technician to help maintain the reliability, safety and continuity of our licensed cannabis production facility. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring availability across all facility operating hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and emergency situations as operationally required. The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of the facility and serve as a primary first responder for maintenance, equipment and building-related issues.
This role is critical to minimizing downtime, protecting product quality and ensuring that facility operations remain safe, compliant and efficient. Key Responsibilities
Perform daily maintenance, repairs and inspections throughout the facility. Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency maintenance issues. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and building systems. Diagnose and repair pumps, motors, sensors, controls and production equipment. Assist with HVAC, heating, cooling, dehumidification and environmental control systems. Perform basic plumbing troubleshooting and repairs.
Complete general construction, structural and building repairs. Repair doors, walls, ceilings, panels, hardware, shelving and other facility infrastructure. Install equipment, supports, brackets and facility components. Perform preventative maintenance and routine facility inspections. Identify developing issues and address potential failures before they cause downtime.
Coordinate electricians, HVAC contractors, plumbers and other specialized trades when required. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections and outstanding issues. Respond immediately to problems that may affect production, product quality, safety or facility operations.
Follow all company health and safety, security, sanitation and regulatory requirements. Full-Time / All-Hours Availability
This position requires a high degree of scheduling flexibility. The employee must be available to work across facility operating hours as scheduled, which may include: Day shifts Evening shifts Night shifts Early mornings Weekends Holidays when required After-hours emergency calls Responses to unexpected equipment or facility failures.
This is a full-time position intended for someone who is comfortable working outside a traditional Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 schedule. Scheduling, hours of work, overtime, rest periods and on-call arrangements will be managed in accordance with applicable employment standards.
Emergency Response
Examples of situations requiring immediate response may include: Electrical failures HVAC failures Heating or cooling problems Dehumidification failures Water leaks Pump or motor failures Irrigation equipment problems Production equipment breakdowns Building damage Security or access issues Environmental control problems Any failure that could interrupt production or threaten product, equipment or facility operations.
The technician must be able to quickly assess each situation, determine whether it can be resolved internally and engage an appropriately licensed specialized trade when required.
Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
Industrial maintenance Manufacturing facilities Electrical systems Mechanical systems HVAC Building maintenance Construction Plumbing Controls and automation Preventative maintenance Troubleshooting industrial equipment A 309A Electrician, 442A Industrial Electrician, Millwright, HVAC Technician or experienced multi-trade maintenance technician would be a strong asset.

Is willing and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Communicates effectively with management, operations teams and outside contractors. Maintains accurate records of work completed.
Recognizes when specialized licensed trades are required. Prioritizes safety, compliance, quality and operational continuity.
Work Environment SESS Holdings operates a large indoor cannabis production facility where environmental controls, HVAC, dehumidification, irrigation, electrical infrastructure and production equipment are essential to continuous operations.
This is not a traditional building-maintenance or superintendent role. We are seeking a full-time technical problem solver who is available across all hours of facility operation and can become one of the primary people responsible for keeping the facility protected, reliable and operational.
Position Type
Full-Time – On-Site Availability Required: Days, evenings, nights, weekends and emergency or after-hours response as operationally required.
Compensation will be based on experience, certifications, trade qualifications and technical capabilities.
Pay: $31.22-$40.22 per hour
