Responsibilities
- Being flexible and helping out across multiple departments
- Checking in/out with supervisors
- Understanding and delivering the snow school on-snow product
- Assisting in operational support of resort operations as required
- Continually Improving own technical skills to better serve guests
- Arriving in a timely manner for your daily lesson, ready to teach
- Conducting safe, fun and technical lessons to all ages and abilities
- Managing splits in ability levels and a variety of group dynamics
- Be polite, patient, understanding, empathetic and have a positive attitude
- Helping to create amazing guest experiences
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Passion for the ski industry and culture
- A sense of teamwork and community
- MUST Hold the following certifications: PSIC/CSIA/CASI – Level 1 (or international equivalent)
- CAA AST - is considered an asset
- Additional certifications such as Park, Big Mountain or Freestyle are considered an asset
Work Experience
- Experience teaching in an alpine environment similar to Castle Mountain an asset
- Prior food & beverage, lift or guest facing experience an asset
Where We Are Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a remote work location. There is a communal living Staff Accommodation building on-site for new and returning seasonal employees. More information on our location and our resort can be found at skicastle.ca

Work Conditions
- Strong skiing/snowboarding ability
- Physically fit and able to instruct in a variety of weather conditions
- Comfortable interacting with guests of different ages in a variety of instructing situations
Eligibility Statement
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (December through to April)
- Ability to obtain a transparent Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
