Summary Le Spécialiste en mise en service (Commissioning Specialist) doit être un professionnel hautement performant dans tous les aspects liés aux activités de mise en service, notamment : la création de documentation (procédures et rapports), les compétences techniques pour effectuer les essais sur site, le contrôle des échéanciers et des coûts, la coordination de l'équipe de mise en service sur site, la gestion de la charge de travail, la gestion des fournisseurs/sous-traitants, le soutien technique à distance, ainsi que la planification, la préparation et l'exécution du plan de mise en service. Relevant du Leader de la mise en service, le Spécialiste en mise en service senior jouera un rôle actif dans la performance du département, en définissant les standards pour les autres membres de l'équipe en matière de professionnalisme et de compétences interpersonnelles.
The Commissioning
Specialist is expected to be a high-performance worker in all aspects of Commissioning activities, such as documentation creation (procedures and reports), technical skills to perform tests at site, schedule and cost control, commissioning site team coordination, site workload coordination, vendors/suppliers/subcontractors management, remote technical support, commissioning planning and preparation, and execution of that plan. Reporting to the Commissioning Leader, the Senior Commissioning Specialist will be an active part of the department performance, defining the standard to others in terms of professionalism and interpersonal skills. - Assurer la gouvernance technique et gérer les relations clients pour les aspects de mise en service
- Rehausser l'excellence technique de l'équipe par le soutien, la formation et le mentorat sur les meilleures pratiques
- Contribuer à la qualité globale et à l'excellence de l'installation et de la mise en service
- Gérer la charge de travail de mise en service et son impact sur le projet (coûts, qualité, délais)
- Maîtriser les échéanciers de mise en service (MSP et/ou Primavera)
- Collaborer étroitement avec les directeurs de projet et responsables de contrats pour la stratégie globale
- Vérifier la fonctionnalité des instruments sur site
- Effectuer la mise en service de la turbine et de la génératrice, incluant l'analyse vibratoire et l'équilibrage
- Réaliser les essais de réception selon la norme IEEE 115 sur les génératrices synchrones
- Planifier et soutenir les efforts de pré-mise en service avec le technicien en instrumentation
- Apporter un soutien technique aux équipes de site face aux défis rencontrés
- Aligner l'échéancier du projet avec les activités de mise en service pour maîtriser le coût à terminaison (CTC)
- Réaliser l'équilibrage , les essais spéciaux sur site et les essais de signature
- Agir en tant que porte-parole de l'entreprise sur le site. Diplôme universitaire en génie électrique ou mécanique (ou expérience pertinente)
- Disponibilité pour travailler sur site au Canada et aux États-Unis
- Maîtrise de Microsoft Office et aisance informatique
- Maîtrise de l'anglais
- Français comme deuxième langue (atout)
- Maîtrise d'un logiciel d'acquisition de données (atout)
- Expérience en installation électrique ou mécanique (atout).
Essential Responsibilities Tendering phase: •Providing support with technical expertise when required to drive high level accuracy proposal delivery. •Leverage reference projects executed in the past.
Preparation and planning phase: •Support the project execution team on commissioning matters; •Technical governance and customer relations on commissioning matters; •Enhance commissioning team's technical excellence by participation in technical support, training and mentoring on best practices, calculations, etc.; •Contribute to overall quality and excellence in execution of installation & commissioning; •Create, understand and manage the commissioning workload and its impact to the overall project in terms of cost, quality and schedule; •Create, understand and manage vendors, suppliers and subcontractors related to commissioning scope.
Execution phase:
•Ensure work is performed safely according with GE standards and local requirements; •Ability to navigate and control a fully Commissioning resource loaded schedule (MSP and/or Primavera); •Strong partnership with the Project Directors and Contract Managers for overall project strategy/performance; •Perform instrument functionality verification at site; •Perform the commissioning of the turbine & generator including vibration analysis and balancing; •Perform acceptance test as per IEEE115 on synchronous Generators; •Work with the field instrumentation technician to plan and support the pre-commissioning effort; •Provide support to the site teams regarding the technical issues or challenges; •Perform LOTO and safety preparations as required by the commissioning tests; •Keep good records about site activities, work performed, issues faced and how they were dealt with (non-conformity) to provide feedback to business and support it with information in case of claims; •Work together with planners and project managers/directors to make sure project schedule reflects the commissioning activities correctly and, with that, create and manage the overall commissioning workload control and, therefore, commissioning cost-to-complete (CTC) for a given project. •Be able to perform balancing of the unit, special field tests, signature tests and acceptance tests at site; •Analyze needs across multiple projects and execute what is in the business’ best interests. •Be the voice of the company at site when required for commissioning related topics.
Qualifications / Requirements •Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience; •Be available for work on project sites in Canada and US; •Good understanding of electro-mechanical systems; •Ability to multitask and shift between many different projects and initiatives with tight deadlines; •Strong customer service orientation; •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and have good computer skills; •Ability to navigate cross-functions and create a positive rapport with other teams (Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Fleet Support, EHS, HR, etc.); •Understand and implement, when required, cost and schedule control for commissioning scope; •Must be proficient in English; •Desired Characteristics: •French as a second language considered an asset; •Proficiency in any data acquisition software considered an asset; •Understanding and knowledge of IEEE 115 considered an asset; •Electrical or mechanical installation experience considered an asset.
