CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.
Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
Your future duties and responsibilities
You will be part of a collaborative External Communications team and contribute to the success of a large-scale event by supporting engagement efforts with sponsors, speakers, and attendees. With guidance from your team, you will assist with day-to-day operations, help manage key data, and ensure an outstanding experience for participants and stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support event sponsors and speakers by collecting and managing key information such as biographies, photos, logos, and session details;
- Track deliverables,
deadlines, and discount codes, ensuring all registration data is accurate and up to date;
- Liaise with sponsors, speakers, and delegates, providing timely and professional support;
- Enter and update sponsor and speaker information on the registration website and mobile app, ensuring all content is consistent and current;
- Conduct regular content audits and coordinate updates or corrections with the appropriate teams;
- Monitor attendee registrations and generate regular reports on trends, profiles, and key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Identify potential registration issues or discrepancies and collaborate with the team to resolve them efficiently.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Currently pursuing post-secondary studies in Marketing, Communications, or a related field;
- Relevant work experience (internship, student employment, or co-op experience) is preferred;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Robust interest in event planning;
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable;
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with stakeholders across Canada. Together, as owners, let’s turn meaningful insights into action.
