Smash Champs Badminton Club & Pro Shop is looking for a Store Support Clerk !

Training will be held at the Smash Champs Badminton Club & Pro Shop in Surrey, BC but after probation you will work out of a warehouse in Richmond, BC.

This position will be a crucial part of the Smash Champs online and retail store and their daily operations. You will handle product and SKU set-up/updates on Shopify and manage online orders, customer service inquiries, and inventory coordination. You will also be trained on professional industry workflows for stringing badminton rackets and supporting the overall operations of the Smash Champs retail store (the Pro Shop).

As a Store Support Clerk , your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties:

Stringing Badminton Rackets

- Inspect, prepare and string racquets with precision and speed, in adherence to approved workflows, quality-controlled standards and customer preferences;
- Pre-weave rackets, replace damaged grommets, stencil completed string jobs, and wrap grips to racket handles.

Online/Retail Store Support:
- Deliver excellent customer support by handling:
- Customer inquiries about order status, product availability, product recommendations, latest releases, stringing service, store processes and policies, etc. through the designated helpdesk channels and over the phone.
- Online orders, requests for exchanges, returns and warranties in accordance with store and manufacturer policies and workflows.

Facilitate accurate and punctual order fulfillment:
- Pick and pack products (including printing and applying labels)



and prepare orders for pick up by designated couriers (e.g. UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, etc.) for deliveries and warehouse transfers.

Warehouse and inventory management:
- Receiving inventory, counting inventory, organizing inventory, and inventory reconciliation for product and operational supplies.
- Manage product listings, product information and specifications, and SKU set-up/adjustments/transfers on Shopify with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure stringing equipment remains calibrated and fully operational.

Job Requirements:

- Physical Requirement: some duties involve standing for long periods and regularly lifting boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Proficiency in navigating e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), inventory systems, shipping software and help desks.
- An enthusiastic understanding of the sport, string types, tension recommendations, and racquet specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate professionalism and care for customers and colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to following established workflows.

Compensation: We offer a competitive wage of CAD $21.00/hour - CAD $24.00/hour.
