- Community College Diploma in Social Services or University Degree in Social Sciences. Related experience required. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate experience with facilitation and leadership in implementation of recreational programs
- Demonstrated Commitment to Community Living and experience in Person Centered Planning
- Experience & flexibility in different areas across the Association
- Commitment in involving people to become more involved in their communities
- Knowledge and experience in supporting individuals with Autism / Dual Diagnosis / Mental Health Disorders
- At least 2 years’ experience with training and mentoring
- Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience through Core Competencies
- Successful completion of SMG training with demonstrated knowledge of SMG principles and how they are used to provide treatment
- Demonstrated knowledge of behaviour management principles and how they relate to the 4 stages of treatment. And has the ability to teach about the implementation of behavior support plans
- Demonstrated experience to facilitate programs and lead groups and the ability to mentor others
- Demonstrate general working knowledge of each location and is prepared to support each location on a rotating schedule
- Flexibility to provide support and mentoring in other locations based on rotating schedule
- Provide facilitation of Hub schedule and activities
- Participate in COVID protected rotation schedule as assigned in inclusive reports
- This requires the successful candidate to have a valid Ontario Driver’s License. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver’s license upon being hired
HOURS OF WORK: Committed to regular 80 hour bi-weekly schedule that meets the needs of the people we support.
