Make a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults with a Support Worker role at Island Crisis Care Society. This position focuses on providing compassionate care and essential life skills support. As a Support Worker, you will foster a therapeutic workplace to assist program participants in achieving their goals.
You’ll engage in life skills training, help clients gain independence, and offer emotional support. Your contributions align with ICCS's mission to provide loving care to those in need. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and set goals for clients’ personal service plans
- Provide life skills training in various areas
- Assist clients in daily living and community activities
- Offer emotional support and feedback to residents
- Prepare meals according to safety standards Requirements:
- Diploma in a related human/social service field
- One year of related experience or equivalent combined education
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
- Successful Criminal Record Review for Vulnerable people
- Naloxone Administration and Non-Violent Crisis Prevention certifications Support individuals with compassion and skill, reflecting ICCS’s love and care for the community.
