Overview

Ponchos Tacos is seeking an experienced and passionate Taquero / Cook to join our opening kitchen team. This role is central to our brand and guest experience. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience working with tacos, understands traditional Mexican taquería execution, and takes pride in speed, consistency, and authenticity.

**Tip pools are evenly distributed amongst the team per hour of work

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook tacos, meats, salsas, and daily prep
- Operate trompo, plancha, and kitchen stations
- Maintain quality, consistency, cleanliness, and speed

Requirements

- 2+ years of Mexican kitchen/taquero experience
- Robust knowledge of Mexican tacos and street food
- Trompo and plancha experience preferred
- Reliable, fast, clean, and team-oriented
- Spanish strongly preferred
- Strong familiarity with Mexican culture and cuisine is a major asset

Pay: $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
