Telecom Field Technician — Subcontractor

BNC Solutions Ltd. is hiring 50 subcontractor field technicians for Rogers service work: 10 in Red Deer, 10 in Edmonton, 10 in Calgary, 10 in the Okanagan, and 10 in Victoria. These are field-based technical positions with no sales pressure.

Responsibilities

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair customer telecom & Internet services and equipment in the field.
- Extend and work on ladders up to 32 feet, following applicable safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
- Document completed work accurately.
- Maintain a repeat service rate below 2%.

Requirements

- Strong technical troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to perform field work, including working on a ladder up to 32 feet.
- A reliable vehicle and the tools needed for telecom field work.
- WCB coverage.
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
- Solid understanding of Ethernet cabling, computer networking principles, and telecommunication systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools for hardware installation or repair.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring practices and electrical safety standards.
- Familiarity with Cisco routers,



switches, and other networking equipment.
- Experience working with telephony systems and related hardware components.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and explain technical concepts clearly.

Compensation: Estimated annual contract earnings of $48,000 to $84,000, depending on work volume and completed jobs. Contract rate details will be provided after a non-disclosure agreement is signed.
