Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled, versatile Welder to join our custom fabrication team. In this role, you will tackle complex, custom fabrications that require precision across multiple processes—primarily high-quality TIG (GTAW) on wide-ranging alloys, along with hard wire GMAW and FCAW.

This position requires exceptional torch dexterity, spatial awareness, and the ability to execute clean, sound welds in awkward, tight, or hard-to-reach joint geometries.

Key Responsibilities:

· Multi-Process Welding: Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding across various stainless steel and specialty alloys, as well as FCAW and GMAW (hard wire) on custom fabrications.

· Restricted-Access & Position Welding: Execute flawless welds in tight quarters, acute angles, and restricted-access locations without sacrificing weld integrity, penetration, or visual quality.

· Drawing Reading: Read and interpret welding symbols, joint callouts, and shop drawings to verify weld sizes, locations, and procedure specifications.

· Quality & CWB Compliance: Produce welds that consistently meet visual and structural standards according to CWB and project requirements.

· Safety & Workplace Standards: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Strictly follow Ministry of Labour guidelines and company safety protocols.

· Material Handling & Shop Support:



Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment to position large or heavy fabrications.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 – 5+ years of practical welding experience in an industrial manufacturing or job-shop environment.

· Advanced proficiency in TIG (GTAW) on stainless steel and alloys, alongside strong hard wire (GMAW) skills and flux-core (FCAW).

· Outstanding mechanical aptitude and spatial awareness to navigate challenging joint geometries and tricky positions.

· Current or past CWB certifications (or ability to test and pass CWB/ASME standards upon hire).

· Physically fit and able to perform duties including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.

· Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

· Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
