The City of Mississauga is seeking a Co-Op Student to assist in the Traffic Operations unit.
This temporary role lasts from January to April 2027 and requires enrollment in a Transportation Engineering program. You’ll gain insights through peak hour studies, field work, and public engagement under the guidance of experienced supervisors. Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of Traffic Operations and Road Safety Units
- Conduct peak hour studies and field observations
- Investigate sign deficiencies and maintain records
- Provide feedback to staff and the public on traffic matters
- Utilize office space and remote tools for effective work Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in Transportation Engineering or related program
- Previous co-op experience in transportation is an asset
- Solid knowledge of traffic studies and engineering practice
- Proficient with MS Office and traffic software
