We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing excellent patient care. The Ultrasound Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
Duties
- Conduct various MSK ultrasound examinations.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment effectively to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians while maintaining accurate records of procedures performed.
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss imaging results and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning properly, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards during all procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Experience in MSK is preferred.
- Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification by a recognized professional organization (e.g., CMRITO) is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
