We are a warm, friendly family in Old Ottawa South (Ottawa, ON) looking for a reliable and compassionate nanny/housekeeper to support our home during a challenging time.

Mom is currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 breast cancer and will soon be recovering from surgery. Dad works full time nearby, and we are looking for someone who can help keep our home running smoothly during the day and provide light support to Mom while she rests and heals.

This role is a 1-3 month contract, with the possibility of extension depending on needs.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday, ideally 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- 3–5 days per week (flexible)

Primary Responsibilities

- Housekeeping: general tidying, dishes, laundry, organizing, cleaning common areas
- Meal preparation
- Light support for Mom during recovery (no medical care required)
- Occasional childcare: for our two young children (ages 2.5 and 6) if they are home sick or off from school/daycare
- Pet care:

Additional Details

- We’re looking for someone dependable, kind, and proactive who feels comfortable working in a family home environment.
- Starting rate: approximately $20/hr, depending on experience.
