Our client is looking for Cooks to join their team in Vermilion. As a Cook, you'll prepare quality meals while following established recipes, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and established guidelines
- Use a variety of cooking methods and techniques
- Work with fresh ingredients and maintain consistent food quality
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures
- Properly store food and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Follow production and workplace safety guidelines
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required
- Work effectively as part of a team
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a related role
- Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food handling, and food storage
- Ability to obtain a Food Safety Certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Valuable verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required
- Willingness to wear required uniform and PPE
