Position SummaryPosition:Food and Beverage Attendant – Seasonal (Full‑time, Summer).Wage:$17.20 per hour.The Food and Beverage Attendant has a multitude of functions, including attending to guest table setup alongside servers, delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables, attending to and replacing items on buffets, restocking supplies, and keeping the restaurant presentable and ready for guests.ResponsibilitiesRecognize and greet all guests with eye contact (10/5 Rule: acknowledge, smile or nod at 10ft.; verbal greeting at 5ft.).Check with Supervisor upon arriving for your shift to receive instructions for your primary job responsibilities.Assist with expediting food from the kitchen line and deliver to tables in restaurants.Serve as a buffet attendant during days/nights when buffets are offered in any of our restaurants.Assist servers as needed with guest requests/orders to ensure a quick pace of service and guest satisfaction.Ensure all tables are presentable with clean china, glassware, silverware and linen.Set and transparent tables in restaurants in a timely manner.Ensure all items needed are kept in stock throughout the shift.At end of shift, ready the restaurant by cleaning, polishing, restocking, and reorganizing to be ready for the next shift.Skills, Abilities & AttributesGuest oriented with a sincere, helpful,



caring and friendly personality.Able to take initiative within given guidelines.Pay precise attention to detail, order and cleanliness.Fast‑paced, energetic, outgoing, and quick on their feet.Possess exceptional energy, flexibility and professionalism.Effective communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).Confident in attending to guest tables and delivering food to tables.Identify problems and make recommendations for improvements.Work well in a team environment as well as independently.Flexible with schedule, able to work long hours, shift work, evenings, weekends and holidays as business levels require.Able to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally, or 20lbs frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.QualificationsMust have a thorough knowledge of restaurant dynamics, e.G., table placement, open and closing procedures and general knowledge of menu item syllabus.Must be eligible to work in Canada.Other RequirementsEnsures the well-being of guests and hosts by being alert to and reporting potential hazards.Models all Deerhurst Resort Standards while caring for guests, colleagues, and owners.Comfortable making decisions and developing recommendations for effective problem solving.#J-18808-Ljbffr
