DIRECTOR, EUROPEAN ACCOUNTS
Job Summary
The Director, European Accounts play a key role within the organization and reports to the VP, Global Sales & Business Development - Advanced Materials. In carrying out their responsibilities, they demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the market and customer base within their territory. They are responsible for developing sales strategies and plans, as well as effectively managing the sales team and customer portfolio to achieve the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
Responsabilities
- Directly manage and support accounts, in close collaboration with the VP, Global Sales & Business Development - Advanced Materials;
- Assess the sales potential within the territory across all product segments;
- Monitor and oversee market research within the territory for both existing products and potential current business opportunities;
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize business opportunities across the territory;
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team, ensuring the effectiveness, relevance, and transparency of sales activities;
- Establish individual sales targets for team members and ensure they are achieved;
- Actively contribute to sales efforts by prospecting and, when required, supporting the sales team during customer visits;
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales opportunity pipeline and ensure the proper and effective use of the CRM across the sales team;
- Gather and share product and market intelligence from the territory with the relevant Product Line Manager;
- Ensure and take ownership of customer service excellence throughout the territory;
- Analyze sales performance, identify gaps relative to objectives, and implement corrective actions when required;
Qualifications
- University degree (Master's degree preferred) in Engineering, or, alternatively, in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field;
- Expertise in powder metallurgy and materials engineering (an asset);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling technical products or solutions;
- Demonstrated experience managing sales teams;
- Excellent business development and negotiation skills;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Work Conditions
- Day shift, 40 hours/week
