AgeCare Shawnee is looking for a dedicated Health Care Aide to enhance the well-being of its residents. In this part time role, you will perform essential tasks such as bathing, feeding, and assisting residents during transfers. The focus is on delivering protected and respectful support while fostering a meaningful community atmosphere for those you serve.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with bathing and personal hygiene
• Support safe transfers using mechanical lifts
• Feed and assist residents during meal times
• Provide routine treatments under nursing direction
• Accompany residents to activities and appointments
Requirements:
• Preferred one year of experience in similar care settings
• Completion of a recognized PCA/HCA Certificate
• Active registration with CLHA required
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Must wear a transfer belt during assistance
