The supports generally include steel framing, bolted or welded connections, and attachments to a steel-plated superstructure. Responsibilities Perform seismic analysis of existing pipe support designs using GT STRUDL. Assess supports in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III, Subsection NF, and applicable Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) requirements. Evaluate steel members, connections, attachments, and standard vendor components. Document component capacities and demand-to-capacity comparisons. Use supplied support drawings, pipe reaction loads, live loads, design temperatures, and in-structure response spectra in the analysis.
