The Overnight Support Worker is crucial to ensuring safety at Cedarvale Housing Program, directly caring for seniors facing homelessness and mental health challenges. You will excel in crisis management, providing after-hours counsel, and monitoring the property to create a secure living atmosphere. Communication and teamwork are vital for ensuring residents' needs are met while maintaining building policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide reception services and monitor building safety
• Implement crisis response strategies effectively
• Complete hourly rounds and document participant activities




• Operate the 24-hour resident personal alarm system
• Collaborate with Home Support Workers on building issues
Requirements:
• Two-year diploma in social services or security certification
• Minimum three years' experience with seniors' mental health issues
• Effective communication and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work independently within policies
• Competency in computer and database usage
