L’équipe NSE de P&W; met au point une nouvelle technologie de propulsion hybride-électrique qui améliorera considérablement l’efficacité de l’avion. En optimisant le rendement dans les différentes phases du vol, ceci permettra de viser une réduction de la consommation de carburant et des émissions de CO2, comparativement à un avion de ligne régional moderne à turbopropulseurs. Le NSE est un composant central du futur système de propulsion hybride-électrique et constitue un produit vital pour plusieurs initiatives de P&W; à la frontière de la propulsion aérospatiale.

À quoiressembleravotrequotidien?

Votre journée peut commencer par un suivi des étapes d’usinages d’un prototype pour supporter un test moteur, par une revue de modification d’instrumentation, nécessaire pour la prise de données, ou par une analyse structurale, fluidique ou de durabilité des composantes moteurs. Toutes les journées sont différentes et il vous faudra faire le suivi de plusieurs sous-projets au quotidien. Vous prêterez main forte aux collègues et aux membres de l’équipe qui vous demanderont de l’aide et vous contribuerez volontiers, de quelque manière que ce soit, à l’avancement de la mission de l’équipe, qui est de réaliser le premier vol.

Les responsabilités peuvent inclure :

- Gestion de projet;
- Conception, modification et analyse de pièces de moteur et composantes de banc d’essai;
- Préparation des instructions d’assemblage et test de moteur;
- Préparation de modification de pièces pour l’instrumentation;
- Suivi de fabrication de pièces;
- Suivi de commandes et d’inventaires des pièces.

Qu’est-cequ’ilvous faut pourréussir?

- Être éligible à travailler au Canada.
- Être inscrit dans une université canadienne pendant toute la durée de votre stage.
- Être en mesure de travailler sur place dans la province où vous êtes embauché, le cas échéant.
- Avoir des bonnes compétences en communication en français et en anglais (parlé/écrit)

Sens de l’organisation et capacité à travailler sous pression avec des priorités concurrentes et variables et compétences en matière de gestion de projet être autonome.

Ce poste s’inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une connaissance fonctionnelle de l’anglais pour lire et comprendre des instructions spécialisées, des plans, des dessins et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d’organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et parfois communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

P&W;’s NSE team is developing a new hybrid-electric propulsion technology that will significantly improve the aircraft’s efficiency. Byoptimizingperformance in the various phases of flight, this will enable a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to a modern turboprop regionalairliner. The NSE isa central componentof the future hybrid-electric propulsion system and is a vital product for several P&W; initiatives at the aerospace propulsion frontier.

What will your day-to-day look like?





Your day might start with reaching out to others in the team who asked for your support on a task to validate that you’re on the right track, a review of the modification to the instruments necessary for capturing the data, or by a structural, fluid or durability analysis of the engine components. The kind of work varies from day to day, and the follow up with sub-projects is neededon a daily basis.Outside of your day-to-day tasks, you will propose and own projects and have concrete milestones towards their completion.You’lllend a hand to colleagues and team members who reach out to you for help and will eagerly contribute in whatever way is needed to advance the team’s mission to have first flight

Responsibilities include

- Project management
- Design, modification and analysis of engine parts and components to get ready for the test cell.
- Prepare the assembly instructions for the upcoming tests.
- Prepare the modification to the parts for the instrumentation.
- Follow up with the manufacturing of the parts.
- Follow up with part orders and inventory of parts.

What do you need to be successful?

- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
- Goodcommunicationskills in Frenchand in English(spoken/written)
- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varyingpriorities, project management skills and being autonomous.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work workplace, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
