Performance Test Engineer (Contract) – Toronto, ON

Location: Toronto, ON (5 days Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer with hands-on experience in load and performance testing for web applications, REST APIs, and cloud-native microservices. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a DevOps setting with contemporary CI/CD tools and containerized applications.

Required Skills
3+ years of experience in system testing and test automation.
Strong experience in load and performance testing using Apache JMeter (or equivalent tools like Gatling or k6).
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, web applications, and microservices.
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and API testing.
Robust scripting skills in Python and Bash.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm,



and Jenkins.
Familiarity with Spinnaker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Experience working in Linux environments.
Understanding of cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of JSON, API integrations, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have
Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or OpenShift.
Exposure to AI-assisted testing, test automation frameworks, and observability tools like OpenTelemetry.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
