Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner registered and in valuable standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner required
Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience considered an asset
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 3 months contract (with possibility of extension)
Pay Rate : $120/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities:

Nurse Practitioners are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Provide primary and ongoing medical care to residents in a long-term care setting
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Diagnose acute and chronic conditions and prescribe medications as appropriate
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Support chronic disease management and preventative care initiatives
Maintain accurate and timely resident documentation
Provide education and clinical support to residents, families, and staff
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices

Duties may vary slightly based on facility needs, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience required
Experience in Long-Term Care or geriatric care considered a strong asset
Experience managing complex and chronic conditions preferred
Familiarity with electronic medical records is an asset
Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently required
