Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and clean environment
Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
Monitor clients’ health status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with healthcare specialists as needed
Engage in secure lifting techniques when assisting with transfers or mobility, ensuring both client and caregiver safety
Qualifications
Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly valued
Strong background in patient care, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities or dementia
Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for client transfers or mobility assistance
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary
Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
