Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to lead the execution of our high-profile Special Projects division. In this role, you will handle advanced technical installations, complex troubleshooting, and critical maintenance for major energy and utility infrastructure projects. This position requires regular travel to various project sites. As a key representative of our company, you will work closely with large-scale utility stakeholders and project management teams to deliver exceptional results within strict regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution: Lead the hands-on technical execution of specialized plumbing, heating, mechanical, and gas-related projects.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose, service, and repair complex utility systems, distribution lines, and specialized equipment.
Travel & Deployment: Travel frequently to regional project sites to oversee installations, service calls, and emergency project interventions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate directly with major energy utility representatives, inspectors, and project managers to ensure seamless site operations.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce and adhere to stringent safety protocols, provincial codes, and utility-specific standards.
Documentation:
Conduct thorough site assessments and generate accurate technical reports, blueprint modifications, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
Trade Certification: Red Seal in Plumbing (preferred), Red Seal in other trades (preferred), Class B Gasfitter, HVAC experience and Controls experience
Proven Experience: 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in commercial, industrial, or utility-scale service settings.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively to designated job sites, including occasional overnight stays.
Project Expertise: Demonstrated history of working on large-scale civil, institutional, or complex utility infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Advanced ability to interpret complex technical schematics, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract; ability to pass site-specific security, drug and alcohol, and safety screenings.
