Duties
Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers safely to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
Perform heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to maintain safety and efficiency
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
Conduct order picking with precision to fulfill customer orders promptly and correctly
Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring cargo is handled carefully and securely
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor to promote safety and productivity
Conduct routine inspections on equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks to ensure optimal functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with forklift operation is highly advantageous
Basic math skills are necessary for counting, measuring, and verifying inventory quantities
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
Knowledge of order picking procedures and equipment operation enhances efficiency in fulfilling orders
