Client:Justice Technology Services (JTS), Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and ProcurementLocation:21 College Street, Toronto, ONWork Arrangement:100% OnsiteStart Date:November 2, 2026End Date:October 5, 2027Duration:244 business days + potential extension of up to 362 daysHours:7.25 hours/day, Monday-Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding breaksSecurity Requirement:CRJMCOpenings:1Maximum Submissions:1 candidateSubmission Deadline:September 29, 2026 at 4:00 PMPosition OverviewJustice Technology Services - Digital Design Branch is seeking a Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist with 5+ years of overall experience to support the development of a modern digital information system and its integration with internal and external applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop appropriatetest plans, test cases, test scripts, and test datafor functional and system testing.Prepare and executefunctional testing and unit testingand accurately document test results.Identify, document, prioritize, and tracksoftware defects and change requeststhrough resolution.Use collaborative defect and issue-tracking tools to communicate defect status and resolution progress to project participants.Support and coordinateUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)activities.Lead initial UAT sessionsand assist business and technical stakeholders throughout the UAT process.Work closely with clients, developers, project managers, business analysts, and other technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and completion of change requests.Maintain comprehensive testing and issue-tracking documentation.Participate in all applicable phases of theSystems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .Assist other project groups with their testing activities and provide QA expertise as required.Participate in project meetings, status discussions,
and defect/change management activities.Work independently while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.Provideknowledge transferto the Project Manager and team members throughout the project lifecycle.Transfer knowledge through1:1 meetings, team meetings, and documentation on SharePoint .Provide knowledge transfer coveringcodes and documentation of all types assigned to the role .RequirementsMandatory Qualifications & Technical Skills1 - Quality Assurance & Defect Management - MandatoryCandidates must demonstrate:7+ years of experience in defect trackingusing a collaborative tool to manage defects and change requests.Experience communicatingdefect, change request, and resolution statusto all relevant project participants.Demonstrated experience developing:Test plansTest casesTest scriptsTest dataExperience documentingsoftware defectsand tracking defects through resolution.Demonstrated experience withUser Acceptance Testing (UAT) .Experienceleading initial UAT sessions .Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Robust written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.2 - Technical Skills - MandatoryHands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies is required:SharePoint.NET WebWeb ServicesHTMLJavaScriptCandidates must also demonstrate:Experience usingautomated testing tools .Experience withversion control systemson one or more platforms.Demonstrated knowledge and experience acrossall phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .Experience documenting and tracking testing activities and issues using tools such as:JIRAAzure DevOps BoardsAsanaBusiness & Stakeholder SkillsThe successful candidate will have demonstrated experience:Working directly withclients and technical teams .Coordinating with developers, business stakeholders,
