GENERAL DESCRIPTION : The Inspector, Construction is responsible for ensuring that contractors follow approved contract specifications for designated construction projects. The incumbent will provide daily and weekly construction site visits to address public concerns and to ensure construction quality and execution are as designed.



This includes overseeing and participating in construction site meetings to ensure that construction activities are being carried out safely and as per standards, policies, and procedures. Key areas of responsibilities include project delivery, construction oversight, research and analysis, support, advice, and liaison. Responsibilities: Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with contract specifications including, but not limited to, environmental and safety management systems. Facilitate and collaborate with project team on progress, quality, safety, and other related project items during each site visit. Monitor construction crews and participate in site meetings, providing guidance to contractors and consultants as required. Document all decisions concerning discrepancies between specifications and actual work completed, reporting all anticipated deviations immediately to the project team. Produce weekly reports on progress, equipment, environment and safety, labour, action items, risks, opportunities, quality, cost and schedule as required by the projects. Maintain daily equipment and material logs and closely monitor contractor Labour, Equipment, and Material (LEM) used on force
