NNDSB invites applications for the following LTO position commencing immediate till early return of the teacher.
Position:
First nations, Métis and Inuit Governance and Studies in Canada
Required Teaching Qualifications:
A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
Intermediate and Senior Qualifications
ABQ in Indigenous Studies considered an asset
Ability to Collaborate with Local 1st Nation Communities considered an asset
Position Criteria:
Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
Evidence of understanding of diverse learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
