Job Summary

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Journeyman Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will have strong carpentry skills, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities
Perform general carpentry duties on construction projects
Framing, forming, backing, blocking, finishing, and installation work
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately
Operate hand and power tools safely
Coordinate with supervisors, other trades, and crew members
Identify and resolve construction issues as they arise
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area
Follow company safety procedures and site requirements
Assist with material handling and site organization as required
Complete work to company quality and productivity standards

Qualifications
Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent combination of training and experience
Previous construction experience required
Solid knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and tools




Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Physically capable of performing construction-related duties
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred
Own basic hand tools preferred
Safety certifications such as Fall Protection, WHMIS, First Aid, or other applicable tickets are considered an asset
