Detail oriented Corporate Accountant required to join our hard-working, but fun-loving finance team. In this role, you will manage core accounting functions across real estate, property management, and strata divisions. This includes but is not limited to: full cycle book-keeping, employee benefits, government remittances, and providing high level accounting support for book-keepers and conveyancers.
Ideal candidate will demonstrate high ethical standards and discretion with confidential data. Candidate will also have a collaborative mindset for overseeing accounting functions in all business departments. Robust written and verbal communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Full cycle book-keeping: a/r, a/p, bank recs, income statements and other accounting functions up to fiscal year ends.
Strata management budgets.
Reconciliation of General, Trust and Commission Trust accounts.
All functions within our real estate accounting software.
Strata management payouts.
Support and assistance to junior book-keepers.
Requirements
Diploma or post-secondary training in accounting or book-keeping.
Over 5 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Sage and/or Quickbooks, Excel and other Microsoft suite.
Knowledge of Lone Wolf software is an asset, or the ability to learn new software and integrate into existing systems.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
