We are looking for a General Machinist for one of our manufacturing clients in Peterborough, ON.

Shift - Days/Afternoon

Pay - $30-$45/hr (Depend on experience)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate machining equipment to produce precision components, tooling parts, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and tolerances.
Review blueprints to identify materials, machining methods, dimensions, and tolerances.
Calculate machine setups, cutting parameters, and tool requirements for optimal machining performance.
Set up workpieces, establish datum points, and perform machining operations.
Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional compliance.
Collaborate with Toolmakers, Engineering,



and Supervisors to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
Manufacture, grind, and sharpen custom cutting tools as required.
Communicate production delays and priority concerns to Planners and Program Managers.

Education & Experience:
Certificate of Qualification as a Machinist
Grade 12 + 8 years of precision machining experience
2-year Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma + 3 years of precision machining experience.
Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing workplace preferred.
