At Extendicare, you'll work under the direction of healthcare leaders, assisting with resident assessments, care planning, and treatment administration. This role allows you to engage with both residents and families, ensuring their needs are addressed effectively and with empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete clinical assessments and care documentation
Implement effective care plans in collaboration with teams
Provide direct medication administration to residents
Educate families about resident care and treatments
Manage urgent medical situations with first aid skills
Requirements:
Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience in a senior living facility preferred
Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support needed
Willing to undergo a recent Vulnerable Sector Check
