We are seeking two (2) Journey-level Specialists—Welders, Millwrights, or Ironworkers—to join our team for an upcoming industrial decommissioning project. This position requires strong technical skill, an unwavering commitment to safety, and the ability to perform rigorous physical labour in an industrial site workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Structural & Equipment Disassembly: Execute secure teardown, structural lancing, gouging, cutting, and precision welding tasks as required.
Rigging & Material Handling: Perform heavy manual lifting and direct/assist with crane lifts to move structural elements and machinery.
Elevated Work: Safely perform overhead work using Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) and full fall-protection systems.
Safety & Compliance: Actively participate in daily safety, hazard assessment, and toolbox meetings to maintain high safety standards on-site.
Valid Journeyman ticket in Welding, Millwrighting, or Ironworking.
Driver’s License & Transport: Valid driver’s license with reliable personal transportation to and from the site.
Active Safety Certifications:
Fall Protection / Fall Arrest
Confined Space Entry
Aerial Work Platform (AWP) / Manlift
Standard First Aid & CPR
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in field welding, torch cutting, and air carbon arc gouging/lancing.
Assets / Preferred Skills
Leadership & Management: Experience leading small crews, coordinating daily tasks, or managing site workflows.
Problem Solving: Strong technical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical or structural teardown challenges safely on the fly.
