MNT Dental Laboratories is a growing dental laboratory in Scarborough, Ontario. We are looking for a Dental Plaster/Model Technician to join our team.
We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality dental models.
Responsibilities
Pour dental impressions using dental stone and gypsum products.
Produce accurate working models, opposing models, and diagnostic casts.
Trim and finish dental models to laboratory standards.
Prepare removable and sectioned dies.
Mount and articulate models using various articulator systems.
Prepare models for crown and bridge, implant, and removable cases.
Inspect impressions and models for accuracy and quality.
Follow laboratory prescriptions and case instructions.
Operate model trimmers, vacuum mixers, and other laboratory equipment.
Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
Follow laboratory infection-control and safety procedures.
Work efficiently with other departments to maintain smooth case flow.
Meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
Previous dental laboratory experience is preferred.
Experience with dental model/plaster work is an asset.
Knowledge of dental anatomy and basic dental laboratory procedures.
Experience with dental stone, gypsum products, impression materials, and articulators.
Robust attention to detail and valuable hand skills.
Ability to produce accurate and well-finished models.
Ability to read and follow dental laboratory prescriptions.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and quality-focused.
