Become a vital part of PLASP Child Care Services as a Relief Special Needs Support Staff in Brampton. This role is essential for supporting children’s emotional and educational development after school.
As a member of the Special Needs Support team, you will help establish a caring workplace conducive to learning and social integration. You must be available for at least three afternoons a week to provide individualized support and to encourage children’s self-esteem while they interact with peers. Active participation in meetings and training is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a nurturing workplace for children • Assist in integrating children into programs with supervision • Support individual behavior management strategies • Participate in staff training and meetings • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure children's needs are met
Requirements: • Early Childhood Education diploma or similar qualification • Experience with children with diverse needs preferred • Robust organizational and communication skills • Certification in First Aid and CPR required • Recent Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
