Ideal candidates should have:

- Previous professional experience as a Cook or in a related culinary position
- Experience with food preparation and cooking in a commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of recipes, portion control and kitchen procedures
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good organization and attention to detail
- Professional attitude and willingness to adapt to Canadian workplace standards
- Flexibility to work shifts, evenings,



weekends and holidays when required

Depending on the employer and position, responsibilities may include:

- Preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes
- Completing mise en place and daily food preparation
- Managing portions and maintaining consistency
- Assisting with plating and food presentation
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Properly storing, labeling and rotating ingredients
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe workstation
- Supporting chefs and other kitchen team members
- Helping maintain smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service
