The West Vancouver Community Services Department is currently accepting applications for a Casual Cooking Instructor to teach basic food safety knowledge, healthy eating habits, food safety, cooking and baking skills to school-age children in an after-school setting.
The preferred candidate will have:
experience working with children/youth
experience with building cooking class curriculum and giving instructions
experience working in a kitchen and/or have culinary education
flexibility and creativity with available facility equipment
current FoodSafe certificate
current First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificate
The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check with vulnerable sector and a copy of their credentials.
Position Status: Casual - Non Union
Hours of Work: Up to 25 hours per week
Days and hours of work may vary. Weekdays, after school (Generally 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Rate of Pay:
Starting at $30 per hour plus 4% in lieu of perks., dependent on experience and skills.
