Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad Inc. is hiring a Youth Support Worker to champion the needs of Indigenous youth. Offering mentorship and support, this full-time role includes overnight shifts.
In this impactful position, you will engage with young people, helping them navigate challenges through trauma-informed care and mentoring. Your responsibilities will include providing a secure environment, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage with youth effectively
Provide mentorship and support for independent living
Advocate for youth by offering resources and referrals
Maintain a clean and secure working environment
Document all interactions and incidents accurately
Requirements:
Education in Child and Youth Care or related field
Experience with Indigenous communities
Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
Solid problem-solving and communication skills
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid certified
